Paradise Pieces at Buckingham Palace

Wednesday 27 June - 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm
The Queens Gallery - Buckingham Palace, Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1A 1AA

Tickets: Attendees must purchase a ticket to the exhibition Splendours of the Subcontinent here.

Our London performers celebrate the fearless power of Love, the most expansive, generous and spiritually enlightening form of energy, in this performance set at a Hindu wedding.

The performance brings together Indian drumming, Dravidian ragas, Gustav Holst's 'Hymn to Vena', Samuel Barber's 'Peace' (based on Paul Elmer More's English translation of a poem by Bhartṛhari), the poem Nirbhay Nirgun, a Vaishnava piece, and music from Léo Delibes' Indian-themed opera Lakmé.

Paradise Pieces will be staged at The Queen's Gallery, which will be displaying Splendours of the Subcontinent, featuring two exhibitions of dazzling South Asian works from the Royal Collection.
