After their celebrated partnership in The Passion (2016), homeless charity Streetwise Opera and UK-based choir and period instrument orchestra The Sixteen come together again to celebrate the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.

This performance takes inspiration from Leonardo's life-long pursuit to overcome the limitations of human beings through curiosity, creativity and imagination.

The programme includes music from Eric Whitacre's Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine, and short pieces devised by participants in Streetwise Opera's weekly workshops at The Connection At St Martin's in London.

This event is part of The Sixteen's Sounds Sublime Festival.

Streewise Opera performers have been working over several weeks with – and will sing alongside – participants in the The Sixteen's Genesis Sixteen young artists’ scheme, which aims to nurture the next generation of talented ensemble singers.

This same programme will be performed on Tuesday 30 July 2019, at 2:30pm and 3:30pm, at The Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace.
